Culpepper aims to take Lions to 0-16 for second straight year...

If you've ever been in a bad relationship, then you're familiar with the feelings of distrust, anger, and sometimes grief that come with the territory. If you've ever been a Detroit Lions fan, then you've probably felt the same emotions somewhere along the last season.

QB Daunte Culpepper has renegotiated his contract with the Lions and will return for 2009. He's due a $2.5M roster bonus on Feb. 27. Although Culpepper's production was absolutely terrible last season, apparently the Lions front office see something they feel they can work with. What that is, the average fan, NFL player, commentator, or newspaper columnist is unaware of.

So does this mean that the Lions will more than likely draft a defensive player with the first pick? Probably not. They may still grab WR Michael Crabtree just for the hell of it to spite all of the fans.  Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams worked, but lets actually work on other areas of the team. Not to mention the fact that the Lions traded away Roy Williams for draft rights. So with those draft rights, PLEASE WORK ON THE O LINE/DEFENSIVE LINE.
