Real Life

I'm so tired of thinking about old stuff and who lied/who was real because the real answer was none/everybody. All of that is tiresome. I'm so tired of looking on twitter and getting retweets and comments by ex girlfriends or other niggas that either fry me or flat out lie. Like, real talk, my head hurts and I'm just so tired of.... A lot of things.

I complain about everybody else, but what have I really done lately? Complain.

Today I got invited to go to a community organizer conference in Lansing aimed at the improvement of the Public Defender system in Michigan. I'll have to bring a few people from the soup kitchen/shelter community and those I know who have been to prison/jail. It'll be interesting to say the least because I have a few ideas on what's at issue with the public defender system in Michigan such as the fact that many are from the bottom 10% of their grad classes and the lack of preparedness and cooperation they have with clients. And that's not even touching the fact that I think the conference will be about the "plea mill" of public defense in Michigan.

I'm so blessed to be in my position and I'm not even where I want to be or need to be. I've got good friends and mentors that have put me in a position to succeed and I'll use that position to the best of my ability.
