Covert Coup

Slowly but surely, Curren$y is making his way into my favorite rappers list. In a 12 month span, Curren$y has released two other major label albums and 3 mixtapes with top producers and rappers. Covert Coup is no except, with producer The Alchemist producing the WHOLE THING. Now think about rap releases (or even other genres) and think about how often a single producer has over seen every track. The Curren$y and Alchemist team up creates a singular vision for the album and uniformity for the sound of the album.

Right now, the one song that's getting the most burn is the Prodigy assisted "The Type" and "Scottie Pippens" featuring Freddie Gibbs.



What's even crazier about this project is that although its for sale, Curren$y also gave it away via Twitter, so if you want to be charitable go support good music.
