While I'm still adjusting to living in the South and being a Houstonian, the music is something that I can't get used to. The underground/local music scene in Houston is borderline terrible. And I'm not talking about the local artist that you know: Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Lil Keke, UGK, SUC, etc. No, I'm talking about Kirko Bangz, Just Brittany, Marcus Manchild, Fat Boi and Mr. President. Because Houston had its highpoint in the national music scene in 2005, we are somewhat familiar with Houston, but honestly it seems that Detroit with its underground music seen (Slum Village, Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, Fat Killaz, Street Lordz etc) is KILLING Houston's at the moment.
