Blueprint 3 Tour @ The Palace of Auburn Hills

I can die a happy man (this year) because I went to go see Jay-Z at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Shoutout to Terrell for taking me and hooking me up with the ticket for the great value of free.99. What's even more funny is that because of Bronze Elegance at UMich on the 3/14, I didn't see any umich people for the first time ever at a concert (shoutout to BE models). I love Wale man. His originality, his style and the love he shows Washington DC and his fans. I feel that he's one of the ambassadors to saving Hip-Hop and keeping it pure.

Probably the coldest of the collaborations on ALL the DJ Drama mixtapes this one was saved for song 1 of the first album. Featuring Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Jim Jones, Willie The Kid, Young Buck and T.I. (T.I. has one of my favorite verses for shouting out "...young famous with a pistol you can call me Chi Ali")

Music Monday: The Dream - Fast Car

If you know me, then you know how much I enjoy The Dream and how perfect his music has been as a part of the soundtrack to my life and to the Summer of 2008.

I recently rediscovered "Fast Car" when my Ipod was shuffling a few days ago. Not only does this song give you that early 1980s Prince vibe, but it also gives you a feel good dance rhythm and catchy lyrics.

I heard this while I was inside of a store and it was stuck inside my head. I think that its refreshing mix of pop and techno instead of the stale shit we get from Lady Gaga and Brittney Spears. And the video is just so nice.

MusicMonday - Lil' Wayne - Wasted

New Lil' Wayne fans, this is the mixtape to start you off with. It'll be out on Oct. 31 just in time for Halloween. Shout out for the Stepbrother's reference, I died laughing.




In the meantime, hold your head up Wayne, who recently plead out to attempted carrying concealed weapons charges.In my opinion, NYC has a vendetta against black athletes and entertainers. How does a tour bus get stopped and he's charged with the gun? Also think about Plaxaco Burress and the plethora of entertainers who've been arressted on weapons charges in the past 5 years.

So I decided that for another theme, I woul steal Twitter's ever so popular trending topic "MusicMonday" and use it as a chance to put you up on what song or album deserves to be in your rotation. I'll even include a zshare link.

This weeks inaugural MusicMonday selection is Mr. Hudson's Straight No Chaser. This melodical mix of techno, pop, reggae, Kanye West, trip-hop and R&B is a chronical of ups & downs, break ups and hook ups. Mr. Hudson's voice is captivating and the songs take you through a good emotional walk through of the male mind at the end of a relationship.
