Did I mention I went to SXSW?

While I was in Austin, TX last week I snuck out to see the BET Music Matters performance of Melonie Fiona and Marsha Ambrosius (I wish I had gotten to see Big Sean perform but there's always next time).

Let me say: I've been accused of being overly dramatic in my descriptions and rankings of things but Marsha Ambrosius is the greatest vocalist that we have in music today. The performance at SXSW was so great is should have been recorded.*

I've been a fan of hers since the Floetry days and I couldn't even give you a list of how many rap songs that she's been a feature on that have found their way into my heart. But she's good. Damn good.

You think I'm kidding buy her newest cd "Late Nights & Early Mornings"or take a listen to one of her recent singles, Far Away (the video has me kinda phased though lol).

 * Itunes actually has the performance from SXSW for sale as a special album that you can get here
